Description:
This roundtable explored options/opportunities for re-development some congregations are pursuing, including integrating affordable housing and space to better serve the congregation and community. The need for a clear vision and setting priorities before engaging with developers for church redevelopment projects was emphasized, as was the importance of community engagement and diverse funding sources. Participants were invited to share hopes, dreams and the barriers to moving forward and have input to programs and grants being offered by the national church to support congregations as they explore opportunities in and feasibility of development.
