Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Programs

Provide support during the weekly Sunday community dinner, working in tandem with the Sunday Program Coordinator;

Network and interact with volunteers and visiting congregations;

Work with visiting ministers in planning and preparation of Sunday worship service;

Plan and conduct worship service in the absence of visiting congregation;

Provide pastoral support and counseling to participants and tenants of Evangel Hall Mission, including hospital visits;

Develop spiritual programs such as Bible study, prayer group, mid-week worship service.

Qualifications:

A strong vocation or calling to work within ehm’s mission statement;

Build community with poor, homeless and socially isolated people through support, services, housing and advocacy;

Demonstrated ability and experience in counseling and working with the marginalized population, including individuals facing addictions, mental health and homelessness;

Ability to work in a multicultural/multiracial environment.
