Youth
ehm's youth programming aims to provide our community’s young people with experiences outside their economic realities.
We want to instill good life skills so youth can obtain and maintain positive self images, forge healthy relationships, and become contributing members of their communities.
Youth Centre Programs
In our storefront Youth Centre, we offer a variety of free programs during the school year to serve the young people in our community. The Youth Centre provides a safe, fun environment for youth to relax, have a healthy snack, access resources and participate in enriching activities.

In-School Programs: ehm partners with local TDSB high schools to support students in their quest for success through councelling, tutoring and ttc tokens.
Transit for Teens
High school students in financial need are provided with the TTC tickets to get them to and from school. The students on the program commit to attending school and passing their classes and meet weekly with our Youth Program Coordinator to discuss their progress in working towards their academic and personal goals. Students on the program also have access to extra support such as counselling and free tutoring. Evangel Hall works two days a week in our partner high schools Central Technical School and Western Technical-Commercial School to help remove economic barriers from students’ success.
Outside the Lines
Counseling and Advocacy
The Youth Program Coordinator is available to students in the partner high schools and youth living in the ehm residence and in the community at large to meet and offer support on a wide range of issues. This work involves helping young people find safe and affordable housing, access social services and navigate employment searches
School Supplies for Students
Donations of school supplies are solicited and distributed to local elementary and high schools and to participants in ehm's youth programs. These items give students in financial need the tools to ensure a successful school year.
