Our MissionSince 1913, Evangel Hall Mission has been reaching out to persons suffering from homelessness, poverty and social isolation.
In 2006, ehm underwent a dramatic transformation with the development and acquisition of a new centre with enhanced programming space and 84 units of Rent Geared to Income (RGI) housing. At ehm, we now serve more than 150 people a day in the adult drop-in, and provide 250 nutritious meals, free clothing, showers, laundry facilities and financial trust services to socially and economically disadvantaged persons. Our youth programs assist 75 at-risk youth with social, recreational and educational activities every week. In addition, ehm now provides housing for 130 persons previously homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. This strategic growth has initiated a newfound sense of possibilities, pride of accomplishment and purpose. Today, ehm has evolved into a multi-tiered agency delivering programs that deal with poverty and homelessness, offering a continuum of care from emergency food, clothing and shelter to transitional and long-term housing. At present, men, women and children come to ehm from across the GTA for guidance, support and fellowship with access to a safe haven from the streets, health and dental services, social housing and a supportive community. We welcome everybody with a warm smile and kind heart. ehm has become known as a place of compassion and hope where staff and volunteers strive to meet the material, emotional and spiritual needs of those who seek our help.
Our VisionA mission operating on the principle of loving one’s neighbour as one’s self, we welcome all who come.
